10月18日上午在大埔對開海面，完成第37屆吐露港渡海泳賽程，時間約為 1小時23分，跟去年差不多。比賽限時為 1小時30分。
下水前與一位近 70歲的參賽者攀談，他大約游了10屆。
今年海面風浪頗大，與前年，即2007年比賽當日的情況差不多。我大約飲了二三十口海水，皆因抬頭呼吸時，來不及避開湧來的海浪。
我上岸時，見到了那位伯伯，他真不簡單。
下水前，我對他説：「明年再見。」
